There are billions if not trillions of cells in your body and every single cell has a nucleus that holds all your DNA. DNA is the code that makes the proteins that makes your hair brown, your eyes blue and everything else that makes you unique.
But in the beginning, in your mother's womb, you started as one cell. But now you're trillions of cells! That happens because your cells replicate themselves and a very important part of that process is copying your DNA.
