There are over 3 million brick slaves in Pakistan. It’s an integrated part of the economy. Many poor families get loans from brick factories to cover unexpected financial needs like medical emergencies.
Entire families live and work at these factories. For many, the debt is generational and hard labor is all they know. A typical hourly wage would be $0.60/hour. ($1 per 200 bricks).
Children don't attend school, medical care is expensive and hard to get and living conditions are extremely rough.

Many of these workers have grown up in brick factories, do not have other job skills or know how to manage money.
We want to offer a new career path along with discipleship so we can address their issues holistically. The goal is help these families achieve good housing, a livable wage, to be able to send their children to school and reshape their identity.
This transformation will take years and the team on the ground is committed to long-term solutions. -
We reached our first goal, to free 45 families from slavery. But with each $2,450 we can rescue 1 more family from debt bondage.
Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.
